Kid’s Display

New for 2019 is a special children’s area with unique and interesting cars and trucks displayed with period correct props for photo ops! Owners and volunteers will share history and stories of their very cool wheels with budding hobbyists who can enjoy sitting in the driver’s seat.

Headlining the display is the famous “Cartoon Truck” and “Cartoon Rocket” that will delight young and old with cartoon cells painted over the entire truck. You are bound to find a favorite strip no matter how old you are.

Kids will delight in seeing the restored 1941 fire truck from Mt. Pleasant Fire Department complete with Firemen ready to share its history and special equipment. Not to be outdone, the City of Charleston Police Department’s 1948 Chevrolet Chief’s car will be on the field as well as a full-size Indy race car. Other very cool cars include a 1916 Studebaker race car, Bugeye Sprite, 1935 Ford, Mini Moke and a mystery display that will need some creative colors to come to life.

All this and more family fun at the May 4th Cars on Kiawah.
